JOSHUA PROJECT: Equipping Next Generation of Christian Leaders
Spiritual Goal: The goal of Joshua Project is to raise next generation of Christian leaders by winning the soul through evangelism (Romans 10:13), building each other through Christ’s love (Colossians 2:6-7), training the next generation through discipleship (Ephesians 2:10), and sending them to share the Gospel throughout the world (Mark 16:15).
Joshua Project will provide safe Christian environment and an outlet for youth to gather and learn guitars and utilize the skills they can apply in the Youth Group Praise team. Develop their sense of identity in Christ, belonging to a community of Christians and at same time be able to mentor their peers. We strongly believe in sharing the gospel so JP will train each student to be ready to share the gospel at any time at any place. Recent trend shows that College admission board is most interested on extra curriculum activity in the areas of services by a student who makes a difference in their own community through long term volunteer services especially in the areas of humanity (poverty, leadership, mentorship, public service).

Target group: Joshua project is currently reaching out to churches in VA. that does not have youth service (6-12th grade). Each of those churches only have about 10 adult congregations. My long term goal is being able to reach out to many other ethnic groups. Most of these churches do not have a youth pastor. God showed me that these are unreached group in VA. God called me to train these youth as leaders for their church and prepare them for future college life. We started the Joshua Project on May 2009, from Chinese Baptist church office with 5 students. Now the number of JP is growing bigger, and we have youth coming from over 20 churches. JP has great turn over from Korean-American to Mongolian youth. JP has over 10 pastor’s children.

How it is Funded: Joshua Project is moving by volunteers, we do not have any financial aid. I am a SEED International missionary and I live by monthly fund-raising. As of now, there is no regular funding or assistance for Joshua Project. I live by faith, and time to time, God sends an angel to pay for books, supplies, retreats and missions.
